This week, Moira Clay Consulting’s CEO and Founder, Professor Moira Clay was honoured for her distinguished service to research management by the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS). The Janet Dibb-Leigh Award recognises those who make outstanding contributions to the research management sector throughout Australasia and Singapore. This annual award is reserved for individuals who are deemed by ARMS to be exceptional.

In awarding Professor Clay, ARMS cited her extensive, leading contributions as an advocate for research management and her continued commitment to mentoring research managers. Her nominator described Professor Clay as a “transformational leader with a flexible and balanced approach to changing the research agenda, and a reputation for professionalism and integrity.” The nomination cited her work at the Heart Foundation, Telethon Kids Institute, the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and her own consultancy as evidence for her outstanding contributions to the field.
