Dora Horvath

Dr Dora Horvath is a research and development manager with twenty years’ experience in the higher education sector. She is a research enabler, relationship broker and critical thinker with a strong idea-framing and concept-formation acumen and a solution-oriented mindset. 

 

She joined the Moira Clay Consulting team in 2020 and brings a wealth of experience in managing multi-disciplinary research programs of scale, securing competitive research funding, designing, implementing and evaluating research capability building programs, and critically assessing university-wide research management practices and policies.  

 

She is actively engaged in the work of the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS) and co-convenes the Research Development Special Interest Group. She currently leads the Research Contracts and Grants Management team at Swinburne University of Technology, and previously held various research and centre management positions at La Trobe University, the Australian National University, and the University of Melbourne. She also has business and project management experience in the not-for-profit and private sectors in Australia and Europe.  

 

She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Melbourne, and a Master’s degree in International Relations and an Honours degree in Economics from Corvinus University, Hungary.
